Homeschooling December 2013 Part 6

Star of Christmas Day 23: Christmas is about Anticipation
The Israelites had been waiting for many, many years for the coming of the Savior. They had heard so much about who he would be, what he would do and how he would rule. They heard from many prophets about his coming and were anxiously awaiting. It is so fun anticipating something like a party, a play date, a fun outing. It is exciting and almost hard to wait. That is how we are to feel when we know that Jesus' birth is coming soon. We think about it, talk about it, we rejoice about it and we can hardly wait for that day to come.
What is one thing you can do today in anticipation of Jesus's birth (Christmas)?

Star of Christmas Day 24: Christmas is about Enjoyment
When God created us, He wanted us to enjoy our lives and those around us. He wanted us to enjoy His creation, too. Wherever you are, whatever the weather is, whether you can go outside or it is too cold to, place your focus and attention on God's creation. He is the powerful, uncreated God. He made us after His image. Let's enjoy one another today and celebrate Him and His Son, Jesus.

Jesus is born! Jesus is here! Jesus came to Earth to save us, to forgive us, to change us, to die for us, to give us another chance, to redeem us and lead us.
What can you do today to show Jesus that you are thankful for His birth and for His new chance for us?
