Montessori Practical Life: How to Fold Towels

I know that this sounds like such a no-brainer activity, but when it comes down to the logistics of folding towels of different sizes, it definitely comes in handy to have some direction, especially for a pre-schooler. :) I hope you find this helpful and practical.

You will need:
- 1 mat (optional)
- 1 bath towel
- 1 hand towel
- 1 face towel

Steps:
I like to go in this order because it goes from easy to difficult:
face towel, hand towel, bath towel.

Face Towel (two folds):
1. Take the towel and spread it open on the mat.
2. Take two corners and fold the towel until the two bottom corners touch the top two corners.
3. Pick up left side of folded towel and fold it to the right until the corners meet neatly.

Hand Towel (3 folds):
1. Take the towel and spread it open on the mat.
2. Take two corners and fold the towel until those two corners touch the opposite two ends.
3. Now that the towel is folded, take the two folded corners (bottom, by knees, see picture below) and fold once more until the bottom corners match the top corners.
4. Pick up the left side of the towel and fold it over to the right, until the corners align neatly.

Bath Towel (3 folds):
