This book was fun for Brother to read since it is an easy rhyming book. We made an awesome craft about this book. Read about it HERE.
The Itsy Bitsy Pumpkin
Sister really loved the cute illustrations in this book. Even after our lesson, she kept going back to it to "read" the story.
Click, Clack, Boo!: A Tricky Treat
We really liked this book because we have been reading Click, Clac,k Moo: Cows That Type for a long time. This is following along the same lines, but with a theme.
Jeb Scarecrow's Pumpkin Patch
and Franklin's Halloween
and Franklin's Halloween
Jeb Scarecrow's Pumpkin Patch was a cute story with beautiful illustrations. Franklin's Halloween is a popular book because of Franklin (main character) and it is part of a series.
And now, for the pumpkin craft!
- a drawing or printed picture of a pumpkin (preferably the size of the entire paper)
- washable white glue
- washable markers (different shades of orange and green)
- glitter in orange, red, gold, green, etc (Fall colors)
1. Color the pumpkin in different shades of orange with the markers (or just one shade is fine)
2. Color the stem in green with the markers
3. Make swirly lines all over the pumpkin with the glue
4. Sprinkle glitter of different Fall colors all over the glue swirls
5. Make swirly lines over the green stem
6. Sprinkle green glitter all over the stem
7. Let dry for about 30 minutes
8. Shake off excess glitter over a trash can or sink
9. Display in your child's favorite spot
