Christmas Tree Decorating Craft for Glass Doors or Windows

This is a really cool craft and my kids are going to love it when they see it in the morning. I'm so excited!

Materials you need:

1. Laminator

2. Laminating sheets

3. Green tissue paper (any shade will do)

4. Scissors

5. Dry erase crayons or dry erase markers or Christmas foam stickers (regular Christmas stickers will do, too)

6. Double-sided tape

Note: You can substitute numbers one and two with sheet protectors (the glossy kind), but it won't be as easy to decorate when taped to the window or glass door. 

 

 

Step1: Cut tissue paper in the shape of a Christmas Tree. I chose the richer, darker evergreen shade because it's my favorite.

Step 2: Put the Christmas Tree inside the laminating sheet.  

Step 3: Laminate.

Step 4: Put your Christmas Tree against the light and go "oooh" and "ahhh" at your beautiful creation. 

Step 5: Choose dry erase crayons or dry erase markers or stickers to decorate the tree. I personally like the dry erase crayons best, stickers second best.

Another fun look

Step 6: Tape them (using double-sided tape) to a low window or a glass door. They will look awesome during the daytime and children can decorate them over and over. This will guarantee lots of afternoons of fun because the possibilities are endless!

Another idea is to laminate two shades of green back to back (one lighter and one darker. Punch a hole on the top and tie a string, then decorate both sides and hang from the ceiling or ceiling fan. It will spin and show both sides of the beautiful tree.
